Jackie L. 'Jack' King

Jackie L. “Jack” King, 82, of Frankfort died at 6:15 a.m. March 6, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born May 11, 1935, in Clinton County to Frances “Frank” & Rosa (Gunnell) King. He married Velva Scott on Sept. 13, 1969, and she survives.

Jack attended Frankfort High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He worked for Peter Paul in Frankfort and was a custodian for the Community Schools of Frankfort, retiring from there. He loved working on his yard.

Surviving family members include his wife, Velva King of Frankfort; two sons, Rocky King and Stoney King; two stepsons, Ronnie (Mary Ann) Stockberger and Brad (Sue) Stockberger; two daughters, Cyndia Jones and Jackie Carter Crews; two stepdaughters, Kim Bower and Debbie (Dave) Welchen; brother, Robert King of Mississippi; sister, Catherine Miller of Frankfort; and several grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister; and 2 brothers.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2018, with the funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Please visit goodwinfuneralhome.com, where you may share a personal message with the family.
