FHS Boys/Girls Basketball Golf Outing on May 12

The Frankfort High School Boys/Girls Basketball Outing is back this spring and will tee off at 10 a.m. May 12 at Frankfort Commons Golf Course.

The cost for the scramble, best-ball, 18-hole outing is $50 per person and includes a cart and use of the range.

Mulligans will be $5 each or five for $20.Prizes will be awarded for longest putt, longest drive and closest to the pin.

Proceeds raised from the outing will be used on equipment for both the boys’ and girls’ basketball programs.

Clinton Prairie Girls’ Basketball Camps set for May

The Clinton Prairie Girls’ Basketball Camp for girls in grades K-2 will be from 3 p.m. to 4:30 May 7 to 10 in the elementary school gymnasium.

The Clinton Prairie Girls’ Basketball Camp for girls in grades 3-6 will be from 3 p.m. to 4:30 May 14 to 17 in the high school’s main gymnasium.

Cost for both camps is $35 per girl.

Registration is due by April 27 for the K-2 camp to ensure receiving a camp T-shirt, and registration is due by May 4 for the 3-6 camp to ensure receiving a camp T-shirt.

Hoosiers pick up graduate transfer QB from Arizona

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) — Quarterback Brandon Dawkins has decided to play his final college season at Indiana.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound California native will graduate from Arizona in May. Dawkins started the first five games last season before a rib injury limited him to only two games the rest of the season.

He started 14 of his 23 career games with the Wildcats, throwing for 2,414 yards, 15 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

Dawkins also has 232 carries for 1,582 total yards and 20 touchdowns.

At Indiana, he will have to compete for playing time with sophomore Peyton Ramsey, who started four games last season.

The Hoosiers wrap up spring practice with their annual Cream & Crimson scrimmage Saturday.

Michigan has canceled its spring football game Saturday because of concerns about the weather.
